[ Wow, excuse me, he's pure. He doesn't know what kinky means.

It's his turn to picture Akira as a mouse...of course, Byakko comes to his mind too, of course. A tiny mouse thief sitting on top of a huge cat's head. Hibiki can't help chuckling. ]

I suppose so. Well, I've never been turned into an animal, so I'm lacking experience in this matter.

[ Not that he's eager to change it, though. ]

I'm fine. If...if you want to sleep here, I won't mind. It's getting really late, after all.

[ He can't even say this in his normal voice and lowers it to a mere whisper. ]

[actus]

[ akira is also so pure. all purity. he's never had a dirty thought in his life. no sir.

the offer makes his face heat up. his heart begins thundering loudly in his chest and a rush of adrenaline fills him. it's just sleeping. that's all it is. but it's falling asleep next to someone, trusting they'll be there in the morning, that they won't hurt you. it's warmth of another person nearby. ]

Mm. You did make me come all this way, yeah. [ he hums it, clearly joking, but he has zero intention of leaving the bed. ] I hog blankets, fair warning.

[ Of course. That's Akira for you.

But if he thinks that Hibiki will sleep that night...he's gravely mistaken. His poor heart won't let him, it's simple as that. ]

I already said that I'm sorry. [ Is he...really sorry, though? Maybe it's better not to answer that question, actually. ] Don't worry, I can take of myself. I like you, but don't think that I'll be easy on you.

[actus]

[ akira is cute when he sleeps. ask morgana.

there's another low chuckle and akira reaches up to lightly poke hibiki's cheek. ]

Good. I told you I like a challenge. [ a traitorous wink and he pokes his jaw this time, fingertips lingering. ]

[secrowtary]

Of course you do. [ He murmurs, smirking at him, even though the wink makes his heart skip a beat. ] You're sticking with me, after all.

[ There are no words that would express how grateful Hibiki is for that. The thought that he could let his actions speak instead of the words is lingering in the back of his mind, though.

Then, he slowly turns his head to the side, making his lips brush over Akira's fingertips. ]

[actus]

[ wow that's. that's something.

akira's face turns an even brighter red. hibiki's lips are insanely soft - softer thsn he thought for some reason. his heart rate accelerates again. ]

Yeah, sticking with you. Definitely.

[ he's gonna keep his hand against hibiki's cheek. ]

[secrowtary]

[ Hibiki offers him a wide, warm smile in exchange. There are so many things he'd like to tell him, but the words don't come. Perhaps due to exhaustion, or maybe because he still hasn't sorted all of his feelings out.

There are a few things he's absolutely sure of, though. One of them that being with Akira sets his mind at ease. With his eyes locked on the youth, he asks in a soft tone: ]

If you're tired and want to get some sleep, don't hold back because of me, please.

[ The idea of making Akira lower his guard and then kiss his hand is a tempting one, but. He'll see. ]

[actus]

[ the smile does more to his heart than the feel of lips on his hand ever could. he returns it and then shifts so his head is off hibiki's lap. but not for long, as his hand reaches out to lightly tug at the other's wrist. ]

Hey. Lay down with me?

[ he promises it's nothing uncouth. it's just more comfortable and he wants to be able to better see hibiki's face. and maybe wrap an arm around him who knows. ]

[secrowtary]

[ He was fully prepared to spend the night petting Akira's hair. This? He didn't see it coming. That much is obvious just from looking at his bright red cheeks and even tips of his ears. With his mouth slightly open, Hibiki doesn't take his eyes off Akira even for a second, only to comply with his request and lie beside him shortly after.

They're so close that his mind might short circuit at any moment. Pretty sure that Akira can feel Hibiki's heart thumping in his chest, he tries to keep some distance between them. It's not like there's enough space to do so, though. ]

Is this fine? Are you comfortable? Maybe I should move closer to the edge...?

[ Hibiki realizes that these questions must sound ridiculous, but the silence is too much for him right now. ]

[actus]

It's perfect.

[ what a romantic moron. he blinks open his eyes and offers another reassuring smile, though this one is more of a grin. ]

I've only ever slept next to my cat before. [ thanks, akira, for that insightful thought. he stifles a yawn, eyes still bright with amusement. it's a wonder how he isn't flustered by any of this. ]

[secrowtary]

[ That reassuring smile doesn't help with Hibiki's blush, but in fact it only makes it spread further onto his neck. There's only one appropriate answer to Akira's comment, and it dawns on Hibiki right away.

If he won't fluster him...maybe at least he'll make him laugh. ]

Meow.

[actus]

[ .......

his boyfriend is actually a huge nerd. it's fantastic. a peel of laughter breaks free from akira and he lazily curls an arm over Hibiki's waist. ]

You're a much better bed partner.

[secrowtary]

We haven't even slept yet, how would you know...

[ Hibiki looks slightly up, showing Akira his flushed cheeks. Being complimented like that in such circumstances is definitely something he can't simply brush off. ]

What if I snore? Or sleep talk?

[actus]

[ he's tempted to make the flushing worse but it's really endearing and all he can do is smile and keep his arm where it is. ]

It'll be cute. ... Or I'll just cover your mouth. Either way.

[ cover it with what. cover it with what akira?! ]

[secrowtary]

I'm pretty sure you're the first person to think that snoring can be cute.

[ Sorry, this question needs to be asked. ]

Cover it with what?

[actus]

My ... hand?

[ he doesn't sound convinced of himself. ]

[secrowtary]

You didn't think it through, did you?

[ Before Akira can answer, Hibiki swiftly pulls his hand up and covers his mouth. ]

[actus]

[ ... no, he didn't think this through. he's akira.

he'll just blink at him. okay, cool. have an endearing forehead bump. ]

[secrowtary]

[ Hibiki's about to take the hand away but then here comes the bump. With their faces this close to each other, he presses the hand even harder against the other youth's mouth. ]

A-Akira... [ He should follow it with something, but how is he supposed to focus in this situation? ] Meow.

[actus]

[ is this flirting? he isn't sure. he really isn't sure.

all he's sure about is laughing behind that hand and kissing hibiki's palm. that'll do the trick, right? ]

[secrowtary]

Akira...! [ His intention was to scold him but does it even sound like it when he's voice so squeaky? He draws his hand back almost immediately, shifting his gaze to the side. ]

I can't believe you sometimes.

[actus]

[ there's another peel of laughter and akira is smiling ear to ear. ]

It was funny. [ that's his only defense. ]

Besides, you were meowing at me.

[secrowtary]

[ It's the best defense, clearly. Hibiki, flustered and seemingly irritated just a while ago, is now laughing together with him. ]

You compared me to your cat, I just couldn't resist. [ Without any warning, Hibiki pulls himself up a little and lets out a familiar soft sound: ] Meow.

[actus]

Hibiki.

[ akira is laughing again and in response curls his arm tighter around him. ]

As much as I love Morgana, I don't like him like that.

[secrowtary]

[ Why does Akira saying his name makes his skin crawl? He lies down comfortably on his previous spot, letting the silence linger. ]

He must be missing you.

[ Hibiki gazes up at him, a hint of sadness creeping into his voice. ]
