And I wouldn't say redeemed. Not really. [ he bites his bottom lip, hard. ] He killed two of my friends' parents, Hibiki. I don't care what his excuse was, he still did it.
Pardon me, I...never mind. [ He got a bit too hopeful right there, didn't he. ] So there really is no other choice than playing along...for everyone's sake.

[ He lets go of Akira's hand and scoots away from him, smiling gently. ]
I'm sorry if I wasn't too much of a help. [ The smile only grows wider, it's just as he wants to hide something. ] It might be naive of me, but I think that if it's you...you could help him. I'm sure of it, actually. Do you think you could ever forgive him?
[ that's a loaded question. akira isn't sure how to respond at first. so he just ... sighs and then flops back on the bed entirely, staring at the ceiling. ]

If he was actually sorry - if he actually realized how much of an ass he was being, maybe. ...But it'd be hard. He hurt a lot of people.
[ this is hard. so very hard. every part of akira's moral compass tells him that killing is immoral. no matter what the reason. even if there's a gun to your head you find another way if you can. killing is a last resort and it's rarely ever excused.
so he doesn't answer that question. he takes hibiki's second comment as an escape route. ]
[ Well, killing is immoral. Hibiki is aware of that, but it never bothered him. Not until he got dragged into some world-hopping mission and met someone who became quite important to him over the course of time. He might not fully realize just how important that person is to him, though.

[ minus the whole akechi threat. but he's tabling that for now. instead, he's going to lean his head against hibiki's, quietly sighing and soaking up the other's presence. ]

[ and he even has the audacity to lick his lips, eyes dropping to hibiki's. there's a half-second pause that feels like hours before akira angles his head enough to kiss him properly, his eyes falling shut on their own. it's warm and safe and so much better than his own dark, troubled thoughts. ]
[ Hibiki's eyes flick away from Akira when he notices what he's doing (2lewd4him), so there's no way he can't see the kiss coming. It's a pleasant surprise, however. Short on breath, he pulls away reluctantly. ]
That's a good start, but what if it's not enough?
