To tell you the truth, I feel the same way. Anything dead is technically an object, but I'd rather not test that hypothesis on a severed limb.

I suppose so. I mean, it'll be probably better to tell the Palai to stay alert anyway, but I doubt they're going to listen. Not that I can't blame them, their enemy is dead, it's a valid reason to be elated.

Even so, I can't help but wonder what led to their demise. This couldn't have been the work of the Palai.

Definitely not. You have seen their, hm, weapons, haven't you?

[ He's referring to the slingshots that, as far as Hibiki's concerned, should fall under the toys category rather than weapons. ]

I just hope that they won't face a new threat. Whoever wiped the Uvi out must have been much stronger. I don't want to think what would happen if a third species were to appear out of nowhere.

[ Just a theory, but Hibiki truly hopes it's wrong. ]

I've been there when the barrier was up... [ Realizing that he has just used the past tense, Hibiki quickly adds: ] I wonder if it still exists if the bones made it all the way here.
